Elvin Bishop is an American blues and rock music singer, guitarist, bandleader and songwriter. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015 as an original member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. He was then inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in his own right in 2016. He attended the University of Chicago and majored in physics as a National Merit Scholar. He has released dozens of studio albums and won many awards over his long, successful career.
