Matt Maeson's passion for music was in instilled in him from an early age, learning drums and guitar as a young kid and eventually going on to tour with his father's prison ministry. The experiences he faced on the road playing in high security prisons and various dark corners of society made a lasting impression on the young musician, shaping his career as a singer/songwriter. Melding bluesy indie folk with modern production, Maeson began to post tracks online via SoundCloud, quickly garnering attention and catching the ear of record labels, who signed him in 2016. His debut EP Who Killed Matt Maeson? arrived in the spring of 2017, followed by a six-song EP The Hearse in December 2018.
